Charcoal and chalk on paper

150 x 240 cm. each

These works are part of a series of large-scale drawings that emerge from the accumulation of strokes, layers, intensities, and structures. I seek to load the paper’s surface with forms that give the sensation of being malleable and tactile.

The starting point for making them are geological formations. However, I do not aim to represent them but to delve into the physical act of drawing as a cognitive process where organic shapes appear from involuntary gestures.
